Following the visit of the remains of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus to Al-Qaa, few residents of the village decided to build a chapel under its name in a strategic place in the bottom of the Eastern Mountain. Its aisle and baptism font are engraved on one rock.
Monastery of Saint Maroon Al Assi
It is a grotto engraved in the rock right beside Al Assi River. During the fifth century, Saint Maroon students lived in it to escape persecution. The Lebanese Maronite Order restored it and activated the visits in it where a mass is taking place each Sunday at noon.
Saint Elias Church
This Church is one of the biggest in Lebanon and the Middle-East. They started building it on 1954 and it is located along the international highway in a strategic spot to attract people going from Lebanon to Syria and vice versa. This Church also overlooks all the old houses of Al-Qaa and it’s still under redecoration until now.
Saint Georges Church
Saint Georges is considered the Patron Saint of Al-Qaa and this is exactly why the eldest church of the village was named after him. The church was built few centuries ago. On 1970, the old church was removed and was replaced by a new one there where the contractors preserved its architectural aspect following the request of Al-Qaa citizens, mainly because of its historical meaning.
Saint Charbel Church
This church was built in the beginning of the 70’s in the house of the widow of Mtanios Moussa Greige following a miracle of Saint Charbel. The miracle consisted of her buying a picture of Saint Charbel from a vendor of Bourgoul and since then the Bourgoul quantity used to increase continuously by the blessing and grace of Saint Charbel.

Things to do
Traditional cuisine
El-Qaa is known for its authentic Lebanese cachet. This village remains very attentive to the Lebanese traditional cuisine. In its old narrowed streets you can find old bakeries, butcheries and kebbe troughs that the big other cities will not be able to reflect them in a proper and genuine way
